Brooks Kenny leads health care campaigns, providing key strategic guidance with the know-how, experience and elbow grease to get it done.
Brooks Kenny is a highly experienced strategic executive with a career spanning over 25 years in the healthcare industry. Throughout her professional journey, she has made significant contributions to various healthcare causes, technologies, and branding campaigns. Brooks co-founded a technology startup designed to help family caregivers in crisis. She has mentored early-stage start-up companies and consulted with large industry companies and nonprofit advocacy organizations to advance their work. Most recently, Brooks spearheaded the launch of a healthcare technology product. In this capacity, she managed a substantial team from the US and abroad to bring the product to market. Her signature skill around building strategic partnerships enabled the fast growth and adoption of the technology.
A common thread in Brooks’ career has been her commitment to healthcare causes – she has advocated globally for youth mental health, developed engaging narratives on the topic of family caregiving, worked to increase awareness about cancer screening, and developed direct-to-consumer campaigns on the topic of hospice and end of life care. Her heart (and her brain!) continues returning to a central theme – women’s brain health. Over the last ten years, she has played a pivotal role in helping to advance women’s brain health for nonprofit and industry partners alike. She directed the Women’s Leadership Council for UsAgainstAlzheimer’s, where she also implemented a direct-to-consumer technology platform that reached hundreds of thousands of people and empowered them to learn more about their brain health.
Several years ago, Brooks began a caregiving journey in her family when faced with a confusing Alzheimer’s diagnosis and treatment path. It gave her great insight into the challenges that so many face. Brooks has since dedicated her career – as a consultant, advocate, and volunteer - to advancing the work of organizations that focus on women’s brain health and advocating for funding.
Brooks is a sought-after speaker known for her expertise in engaging a room and helping to break down stigma related to diseases of the brain.
Brooks lives in Kensington, Maryland with her husband, and is immensely proud of her daughter and son.
